Finding Time
Finding time to ride is the most difficult thing about
training, even riding 19 miles today seemed forced as I get ready for our 6th
Grade Retreat here at the church. I’m
kind of jealous of the 3 or 4 guys who will be riding a Metric Century
tomorrow, for those who don’t ride that’s around 62 miles (by the way guys, let
us know how it goes). It’s not that I’m
even ready to put in that many miles, but the idea to get out, and ride a whole

just ride. This will come, next Thursday and Friday, I will be riding to

Hi Rick,
This is the first time I've read your Blog. First, I would like to say how sorry I am that you recently lost your mother. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Mothers are truly special persons and I vividly remember the day I lost my mother and that's over 18 years ago.
Secondly, I want to praise and encourage you on your bike ride. You have undertaken a challenging task but I know that you will succeed. Go for it Rick! You can do it!
I will be keeping track of your progress.
